Mayhill Hospital
Building Lives with Trust and Hope
Mayhill Hospital serves as a “cornerstone” for building and improving quality lives for adults and seniors with psychiatric medical needs. We wanted to project the idea of “building lives” and develop a brand which evokes attributes of both trust and hope. The objective was to both design several original print pieces for a variety of purposes as well as provide the brand identity itself with a fresh new vitality and life while maintaining the basic shape and look of the old logo.
The logo mark was modernized and simplified. We enhanced the color palette with warm oranges and reds, complimented with a rich palette of blues. For typography, our goal was friendly, approachable, and breathable, but also foundational with a sense a reliability, so we used both a rounded san-serif font combined with a traditional serif.
Their outdated difficult-to-read print collateral matured into engaging materials including a square tri-fold brochure, staggered booklet, and flier. The “cornerstone” theme was visualized through a square non-standard sized brochure and booklet. Our team worked closely with the client presenting a visual strategy that was engaging and assisted with printing to ensure high quality print collateral that would be read rather than discarded.
