Today we hit another milestone! 10 years of industry experience, great employees, and the best clients around. We’ve grown a lot since our humble beginnings as a startup agency, and now is the perfect time to reflect on our past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future.
In The Beginning
Before everything else, there was Storied Productions. Co-founded by Paul Echols in 2009, this media production company aimed to help businesses through visual storytelling. After a few years of experience and exposure to new opportunities, we quickly realized there was a demand for services beyond production alone.
Starting in September of 2011, Square 205 was created to meet that demand. Named after the location of our first office located off the Denton square, Square 205 symbolized our passion for helping our community. We challenged ourselves, never settled for “good enough”, and continued to solve digital and creative problems for clients.
Who We Are Now
Although our mission hasn’t changed much over the years, our methods have continued to adapt and evolve. We believe in delivering industry-leading digital experiences and high-performance campaigns for industry-agnostic ECommerce, B2B, and small business client partnerships in Denton, DFW, and across North America.
We’ve always valued a human-focused approach when we work on projects. From strategy, implementation, communication, and everything in-between, our core values guide everything we do. We can’t think of clients as dollar signs and numbers. It’s our pleasure to learn their businesses, their pain points, and the pain points of their customers. Then, together, we create strategies and solve problems.
This “partnership mentality” is another example of our values. We take pride in building relationships with our clients and working with them to achieve their goals. Finally, we couldn’t do it without our tech! We’ve spent 10 years perfecting our knowledge on what hardware and software tools can help us get the job done best. We aren’t afraid of trying new things either. When there’s a better app or more efficient process, we research, test, and when we know its right, implement it for all of our projects or campaigns.

What’s Next For Square 205?
It’s fun to look back at where we’ve been, but it’s infinitely more exciting to focus on where we’re going next. From a full rebrand and a brand new website launching very soon, to the opening of our very own visual production space with Square Studios (more on all of this soon!), we’re ready to take Square 205 to the next level.
